04. Leaving Your Comfort Zone: How to Thrive in the Unknown

This episode was inspired by my meeting with a Scottish Physic who encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknown (only mildly terrifying right?).

I always stress the importance of listening to your body…but what happens when your body “doesn’t feel like it” and you always stay stuck in procrastination?

When you do need to commit to your discipline, and when you need to rest? This is a tricky balance to strike because:

1) We live in a society OBSESSED with productivity so we can constantly feel the pressure to do MORE.

2) Our brains are wired to stay in our comfort zone so we sabotage our growth by procrastinating and doing nothing.

In this episode I talk about:

  • Designed for Comfort: The inner workings of your subconscious mind.

  • The Comfort Zone Trap: Why trying to stay safe is actually riskier than you think.

  • How to Escape the Familiar (Without a Panic Attack): The mindset approaches and physical practices to get you moving forward towards your goals.
